How will I be notified for
bandwidth overages?
If you consume more bandwidth than your account comes with,
we will NOT disable your account. We will contact you and
let you know that in the future, you will be charged for excessive
bandwidth use. We may recommend that you upgrade accounts
as well in order that you realize the best bandwidth pricing.
How do I change products, for
instance from a Basic Hosting Package to an Extended Hosting
Package?

We charge the setup fee for the new account for any account changes.
How can I check domain
name availability?
You can check domain names at the name registrar: www.Register.com.
Can I transfer an existing
domain name to Adult Virtual Hosting?
Yes. Whether you place an order by telephone or via our online order
form, be sure to specify that you are requesting a transfer and
NOT a new domain. You should keep the service at the present
site while waiting for Internic to complete the transfer. We
will provide you with a temporary IP address so you can mirror
the site on our server. All email and web pages will still be
accessed from your current site until propagation is complete.

How long does it take
before my domain name is active?
Once the InterNIC announces that your domain name has been
registered (or transferred, if applicable), all internet providers
must update their records (DNS tables) to reflect the new site
location. Some DNS tables are updated very quickly, enabling
your site to be seen from some locations almost immediately.
Other DNS tables are updated less frequently and hence take longer.
This process, called propagation, usually takes about 72-hours
before all of the DNS tables have been updated, and therefore
before your site is universally visible.
What is the InterNIC fee for domain
registration?
The InterNIC charges $70.00 to register a new domain name.
This fee covers the first two years. Thereafter they bill at
a rate of $35 per year. The InterNIC will send you an invoice
via email between 3 weeks to six weeks after the domain is registered.
It is important to know that InterNIC is an independent agency
in charge of all .com, .net, and .org domain names. Adult
Virtual Hosting has no affiliation with InterNIC (who are at
www.internic.net).
Does Adult Virtual Hosting
limit the number of hits I can receive each month?
No. Our experience has shown that 300 to 500 MB/month is
more than enough data transfer for 90 (+)% of all websites and
we use it as a bench mark. Depending on the quantity and size
of your files, 1000MB could support many thousands of hits per
week.
How do I access my logfiles?
Point your browser to "www.yourdomain.com/logs/".
Your logfiles are automatically published nightly.
How do I transfer files to my web
site?
Files must be transferred to the web server via File Transport
Protocol (FTP), which may be acomplished through an FTP client
(we recommend WS_FTP Pro, which may be purchased from us or from
many other sources) or through a website authoring tool which
typically will have FTP built in. For more information, see our
tutorial section.
Will I have unlimited
access to update my pages?
You have unlimited access via FTP 24-hours a day. As such,
you can create and maintain your web pages on your own computer
and upload files to your web site at your convenience.
Can multiple domains point to
the same HTML files?
In general, if you have more than one domain account at Adult
Virtual Hosting we can point each domain address to the same
HTML files. There is a $10.00 setup fee to mirror sites.
Can I use my account for commercial
purposes?
Of course! We hope that you do! And we´re
adding more and more features all of the time to help you in
your commercial endeavors.
Can I resell my account?
Yes. Other than the restrictions set forth in our Service
Agreement and Usage Policy, you can do whatever you wish with
your account. Furthermore, if you´re interested in
becoming a Adult Virtual Hosting Reseller, please contact sales@adultvirtualhosting.com
for volume pricing. We typically give discounts to resellers
with 10 or more hosting accounts.
Do you accept international
orders?
Yes. We are pleased to have customers around the world. If
desired, we can host non-US domain name extensions.
What is your spam policy?
We are strongly against Spam. Please read our Spam
Policy.
What contract and payment
terms are available?
We bill in monthly increments and accept MasterCard and VISA
for most of our products. By and large we prefer credit
cards, even after the service fee we pay, because it´s
the most efficient method for our Accounts Receivable.
Many of our products offer substantial discounts for term commitments.
Some of our products are billed less frequently and some of our
larger accounts may be payable by business check, ACH transfer,
or wire payment. Please contact billing@adultvirtualhosting.com

Do you offer technical support
to customers ?
Yes. We encourage our customers to send email to help@adultvirtualhosting.com
with questions or concerns about their web site. We are relatively
quick to respond to support email. If we cannot offer a solution
to a concern within a reasonable time frame, we will invite you
to call us or we'll call you directly.
How long does it take
to set up a new account?
Orders for servers will be configured within 24 hours, and
most times will be done the same day. Once an account is set
up an activation notice will be sent to you via email including
a userid, password, hostname, and IP address. You can begin uploading
files to your new web site immediately using the IP address.
It may be up to several days before the domain name is functional
per the domain name FAQ above.
